Southern Interior SOUTHERN INTERIOR, a 6-episode sketch comedy series that’s not just about Nelson - it is Nelson. Picture this: your downtown tour guides are a pair of goats (who may or may not be hallucinations), you're starving but the farmer's market only sells pottery, and the redneck bachelor party you crash morphs into a rebirthing ceremony. Created by Amy Bohigian, produced by Gregory MacKenzie, starring Lucas Myers, Michelle Hart, Lynne Karey-McKenna and Jonathan Ramos, and featuring a 100% local cast and crew, this show isn't about outsiders looking in, it's a community turning the camera on itself, reflecting back both satire and sincerity. The Bell Fund, Creative BC and Shaftesbury Media have all backed this professional production, recognizing the universal appeal in Nelson's unique story - where outsiders of all stripes have been finding refuge and building community for generations. In an age of commodified authenticity, SOUTHERN INTERIOR offers something rare: a genuine reflection of a place - this place, our place - that stubbornly refuses to be anything but itself. “HILARIOUS. Her physicality is impeccable.”-Star Phoenix News.
“Unbelievably charismatic.” - The Charlebois Post
“Remarkable feats of puppetry.” - CBC

A spicy puppet cabaret, hosted by a sassy grandma who keeps trying to steal the show. This beautifully twisted variety show is performed by Ingrid Hansen, who also puppeteers for Jim Henson Company’s Fraggle Rock. Watch behind-the-scenes as Hansen performs a live puppet film, animating cheeky vignettes in the palm of her hand and projecting them onto a huge screen. “Both live and magnified on screen, in cunningly angled cameras and mirrors, we see Hansen create characters from her own hands, fingers, tongue, in a saucy and jostling vaudeville of ‘stars’. NUTTY, INGENIOUS, MESMERIZING.” - 12th Night. Costumes by JIMBO (winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race.)

Ali Hassan Does This Taste Funny - Capitol Season Adult $30
Senior $27
Under 30 $15

Ali Hassan’s career plans started off as simply as anyone’s: become a chef, get a food show on television, get a second food show on television, be the face of the network and have oven mitts with his face on them. But sometimes things get in the way of your dreams: like your parents’ disappointment, your family of four children and your successful comedy career.

This show is a hilarious exposition of Ali’s journey in and out of the culinary world in which he spent 12 years. Think Eat, Pray, Love....minus the Prayer.
